Nusa Penida Dive Sites
The island of Nusa Penida offers you some of the best dive sites around Bali. Bali Aqua Penida, our dive center, is located on the North coast, perfectly situated for quick and easy access to all Nusa Penida dive sites as well as Padang Bai and the Gili islands of Mimpang, Tepekong and Biaha.
There are about 25 dive sites around the islands of Nusa Penida, Lembongan and Ceningan. Nearly all of the coast of Nusa Penida is diveable depending on conditions and diver experience level. The most famous sites are Manta Point and Crystal Bay, but the entire north shore has fantastic sites with SD and PED right in front of our dive center. There are quite a few sites not listed on the map, which only highlights the main ones. Since a lots of sites are drift dive sites it is not uncommon that you may dive several sites on a single dive or start between two sites (especially in the North and East). We choose the dive sites according to: divers request, sea conditions and diver experience.
West Nusa Penida Dive Sites
Crystal bay and Manta point are the 2 most famous sites on Nusa Penida's West coast. Crystal Bay offer the best chance to spot Mola Mola and Manta point is a famous cleaning station with lots of Manta rays. Manta Bay is mostly for snorkelers and Batu Bolong is only suitable for very advanced divers.
North Nusa Penida Dive Sites
The North Nusa Penida dive sites are located right in front of our dive center. There are 4 main sites which are SD, PED, Sental and Buyuk. Drift dive par excellence and a major meeting point for with pelagics such as Mola Mola, tuna, and sharks.
Nusa Lembongan Dive Sites
The 3 main dive sites of Nusa Lembongan are Mangrove, Blue corner and Lembongan Bay. While Mangrove and Lembongan Bay are suitable for beginners, the same is not true for Blue Corner which is one of the most challenging sites in the area. But with the right divers, we love Blue Corner. Please see the sites descriptions for more information.
Central Nusa Penida Dive Sites
There are 3 dive sites located near or in the channel between Nusa Penida and Ceningan. Depending on tides, current can be one of the strongest in the world. Toyapakeh is the most dramatic one, while Gamat bay is more protected and more suitable for entry level divers. Ceningan Wall is one of the dive site that will really leave an impression.
East Nusa Penida Dive Sites
The dive sites on the east coast of Nusa Penida are undoubtedly the least frequented on the island because of the distance and difficulty of the sites. These sites are relatively close to our dive center so we are able to get there quickly but we need experienced divers who can handle the strong and unpredictable currents.
Bali dive sites from Nusa Penida
Padang Bai dive sites are just 20 min away from our dive center by boat. With more than 15 dive sites, Padang bai is perfect for every level of diver. Whether you are looking for macro or want to spot Mola Mola and sharks all is possible in Padang Bai area. Mimpang, Tepekong and Biaha are dive sites perfect for experienced divers.
